Sarah Jessica Parker is coming back to the small screen. She is returning to TV in a new series called Busted. The limited-run series is based on the non-fiction book Busted, A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love. The book was written by two female reporters who discovered a huge police corruption scandal in Philadelphia. Parker is one of the two female leads the other has not been named.
Demi Lovato is a longtime advocate for gay rights. On Tuesday the star revealed a personal connection to the LGBT community. Presenting an award at Logo TV’s Trailblazers event the singer told the audience her grandfather came out as gay in the 1960′s. “I’ve never spoken about this before, but my grandfather himself was a trailblazer,” said Lovato, “He was brave enough to come out in the 1960s, and I feel a lot of my spirit has come from him. He passed away a few years later and I only wish he could have been able to see all the progress that has been made.”
MTV is bringing back TRL. The network announced it will bring back the countdown show for one day featuring singer Ariana Grande. The pop star will perform her latest hit on “Total Ariana Live” and she will debut her follow up single. The show is set to air July 2nd.
