Lady Gaga will make her debut SXSW performance next week. Last week, reports surfaced that the singer was denied a permit to perform at the Doritos 56-foot vending machine-shaped BoldStage, but today the singer announced she would headline the festival March 13.
Queen will hit the road this summer with Adam Lambert. The “American Idol” alum will serve as frontman for the band. The 19-date tour kicks off June 19 in Chicago before wrapping up July 20 in Washington, D.C. Lambert has performed with Queen in the past as contestant on American Idol and at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Andrew Garfield and BatKid’s planned appearance at the Oscars was scrapped at the last minute. The Spider-Man star was supposed to present at Sunday’s show with Miles Scott — the 5-year-old San Francisco boy with cancer, who won over the world’s heart when he dressed as the caped crusader as part of a Make A Wish event last November. Garfield spent time with Miles and his family at Disneyland on Monday. Chris Evans filled in for them at the awards on Sunday.
